American Legion Post 725

The Lamar Hartje American Legion Post #725 meets once a month at the Treynor Community Center. One of the goals of the Legion is to promote the military and veterans. The legion gives $10,000 in college scholarships each year to Treynor High School students, which are funded by the Fish Fry meals served at the Community Center. The Legion also sponsors “Let’s Play Bingo” nights that are usually held in November and December. Treynor’s American Legion Post 725 worked three years to bring the Bell-UH-1 Iroquois helicopter-commonly referred to as a “huey” to the city.
