We had 205 paid flags (28 June 2023)

In May 2024 we gave $8000 in $500 scholarships


In 2022 we put in an addtional 9 footings along Highway 92 in front of the Middle School, making total of 24 along the highway, including the Middle School, Cemetery, and Community Center.

The Treynor Optimist Club thanks you for your support of the Flag Project.   All funds raised from flags go toward scholarships for graduating seniors.

NOTE:  We are now taking cans, bottles, etc. to the DROPPETT container in Glenwood, Iowa. 

The Youth Group receiving the funds will be responsible for transportation.  We can help arrange transportation if needed, but the cost of transporting will be deducted from the proceeds.  

The DROPPETT location is available any day or night. Therefore we can load the cans after sorting and immediately deliver them.  It is about 20 miles from Treynor, versus 40 miles when we took them to Atlantic, IA
